Privacy Policy

In short

Quietdays has no ads and no third-party analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs. You do not need an account. Your events stay on your device and, if you turn it on, in your own iCloud.

What stays on your device

Your events, tags, settings and the photos you choose for cards are stored in the app on your device, together with a daily backup kept for 30 days.

Photos are picked with the system photo picker, so Quietdays cannot see your photo library. A copy of the photo you pick is kept inside the app. Quietdays only asks to add photos when you save a wallpaper, card or video.

Reminders are scheduled on your device as local notifications. Data shown on your Apple Watch is sent directly from your iPhone.

iCloud sync

If iCloud sync is on, your events, settings and photos are stored in your private iCloud database, run by Apple. Event data is stored in encrypted fields. We cannot access your iCloud data. You can turn off iCloud Sync in Settings → Sync & Backup.

Cloud backup (optional)

Cloud backup is optional and requires Sign in with Apple. We receive a stable account identifier from Apple and an email address, which may be a private relay address if you choose to hide yours. We use the email only to contact you about your account.

Each backup contains your events, settings and photos. We keep up to your 10 most recent backups, along with the device name and app version shown in the backup list. We do not read or analyze your backups.

To delete your account and all cloud backups, open Settings → Cloud Backup → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Data on your phone is not affected.

Anonymous usage statistics

At most once a day, the app sends a small anonymous report: a random install ID created on your device (not linked to your Apple ID or account), the app and iOS version, language, App Store region (not your location), whether Pro is unlocked, a range for how many events you have (such as 4–9), which kinds of widgets you added, and whether the Apple Watch app is installed.

It never includes the names, dates or contents of your events. We use it only to count how Quietdays is used and what to improve. You can turn it off with Share Anonymous Usage Stats in Settings.

Content downloads

The app may download new styles, illustrations and fonts from our content server. Like most servers, it keeps short-lived access logs that include IP addresses, used only for security and troubleshooting.

Purchases

Quietdays Pro is optional. Payment is handled entirely by Apple and verified on your device. We never see your payment details.

Where data is stored

Our server data (cloud backups, accounts and anonymous statistics) is currently stored on servers we operate on Alibaba Cloud in mainland China. All connections are encrypted. If we add servers in other regions, we will update this page.

Sharing

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for advertising.

Children

Quietdays is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date above.
